The quick answer
KTV lounges are adult nightlife venues for guests aged 18 and over. They do not sell karaoke by the head. Instead, they sell room packages with drinks, dining sets or a minimum spend per room. So the KTV price KL lounges quote depends on the room size, the drinks and the night you choose.
On the figures we could source, a small lounge room starts at about RM418 before charges. Large rooms and dining sets run well past RM1,000. Meanwhile, Google Maps users tag most lounges in this guide at RM200 or more per person. Add the 10% service charge and 8% SST on top of any "++" price.

Reading the table
The "++" sign means the price excludes service charge and SST. "Nett" means taxes are already included. The "RM200+" tag is a Google Maps price range that users add themselves, so treat it as a rough guide, not a rate card.
How lounges charge
Most lounges use one of three pricing models. Knowing which one applies helps you compare quotes fairly.
Room packages
A room package bundles a room, a block of time and a set amount of drink. For example, you might get a small room for the night with a dozen cans of beer. You pay one fixed price, plus charges, and extra drinks or hours cost more. This model is the easiest to budget, because the starting figure is clear.
Minimum spend
Some lounges set a minimum spend per room instead. The room itself is "free", but your food and drink orders must reach a floor. If your group orders less, you still pay the full minimum. A third-party listing says D'Arc Club works this way, and The Grand Palace KTV in Kepong quotes room minimums on request.
Dining sets
A few lounges sell meal sets for a fixed group size. Mansion 9 is the clearest example. Its sets cover a Chinese meal, the room and karaoke time for ten people. This suits birthdays and work dinners, because one price covers food and singing.
Golden Palace packages in detail
Golden Palace in Kuchai Lama is a rare lounge that posts its prices openly. Its 2026 promo poster lists four room sizes, each with beer included. In addition, each room shows two prices, under columns labelled "6PM–3AM" and "6 hours".
- Small room: RM418++ or RM568++, with 12 cans.
- Medium room: RM638++ or RM838++, with 18 cans.
- Big room: RM938++ or RM1,188++, with 24 cans.
- VIP room: RM1,388++ or RM1,688++, with 36 cans.
Extra time costs RM200++ for one hour or RM300++ for two. The poster does not state how many people each room holds, so ask when you book. The venue also announced a refurbishment of its rooms and sound system in 2026, together with lower package prices. If you are comparing karaoke Sri Petaling options, this poster is a useful benchmark for the rest of the KTV price KL market.
Dining and promo prices
Outside Golden Palace, lounges mostly publish one-off sets and promos rather than full price lists. Still, these posts give you a useful sense of scale.
Mansion 9 dining sets
Mansion 9 in Kampung Pandan combines Chinese banquet dining and karaoke in the same private room. In February 2025, its Instagram advertised a birthday Set A at RM1,688++ for ten people. That works out at about RM169 per head before charges. Its Chinese New Year 2025 sets for ten started from RM1,988+. Those posts are now old, so ask for the current menu and price.
Happy hours and beer deals
Some lounges open earlier and discount the quieter hours. For instance, D'Emperor KTV on Jalan Ipoh posted a 4pm–9pm happy hour in June 2026, with a beer tower at RM208 nett. The venue also runs a membership scheme, and members can redeem room tiers with points. Meanwhile, De-Millionaire KTV in USJ promotes a 3pm–7pm happy hour, although it has not published the figures. Reviewers also mention free-flow beer promos at D Babylon Club in Pudu.
Food prices
Food adds up as well. Crown KTV on Jalan Imbi has an undated food menu that the owner uploaded to Google Maps. It shows half a dozen BBQ chicken wings at RM58++ and seafood fried rice at RM28++. So a few shared plates can add RM150 or more to a room bill before charges.
Service charge and SST
Almost every lounge price in KL excludes taxes. Golden Palace states that its packages are subject to service charge and SST. So its RM418++ small room ends up close to RM490 to RM500 once a 10% service charge and 8% SST apply. The exact figure depends on how the venue calculates them.
On the other hand, a "nett" price, like D'Emperor's RM208 beer tower, already includes taxes. That said, add-ons can still surprise you. Food, extra drinks and time extensions all attract the same charges. Ask for an itemised bill if anything looks off. In fact, several reviews of one central lounge mention unexpected charges, which is a good reason to check the bill line by line.
Before you pay a deposit: screenshot the price list or promo post you are relying on, and confirm by WhatsApp that it is still valid for your date. Promos in this guide range from 2025 to 2026, and venues change rates without notice.
Package vs minimum spend
A package is simple. You know the starting price, and you know what drinks come with it. As a result, it suits smaller groups and anyone who wants a predictable bill.
A KTV minimum spend is more flexible but less clear. You choose what to order, yet the room has a floor. If your group is light on drinks, you may pay for food and bottles you did not really want. So ask for the exact minimum, what counts towards it, and whether it changes on Friday and Saturday nights.
Which is cheaper? It depends on your group. For a large group that plans to drink, a minimum spend can work out fine per head. For a small group, a fixed package is usually safer. Either way, divide the total by your headcount before you decide.
Budgeting your night
Start with your group size and the time slot. Then ask the venue which room fits your group. For example, if eight friends share a Golden Palace medium room at RM638++, the package comes to about RM80 each before charges. After service charge and SST, that is closer to RM95 each.
Next, add the extras. Food platters, extra beer, bottles and extra hours add up quickly. Also, budget for a Grab ride home if anyone is drinking. Most lounges run late, so plan how everyone gets back. Finally, read our KTV etiquette tips so you know how ordering and tipping usually work.

Ways to keep the bill down
A lounge night is never cheap. Still, a few habits can stop the KTV price KL lounges charge from creeping far past your plan:
- Go early. Happy hours at D'Emperor KTV and De-Millionaire KTV fall in the afternoon and early evening.
- Pick a package. A fixed room-and-beer package is easier to control than an open tab.
- Book the right room. A room that is too big costs more and feels empty.
- Agree on extensions. One extra hour at Golden Palace costs RM200++, so decide in advance whether you will stay.
- Ask about outside drinks. Never assume you can bring your own bottle or cake.
- Check the bill. Compare it with the package you booked before you pay.
